About the Author
Eric J. Simon is an associate professor in the Department of Biology and Health Science at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire. He teaches introductory biology to science majors and non-science majors, as well as upper-level courses in genetics, microbiology, tropical marine biology, and molecular biology. Dr. Simon received a B.A. in biology and computer science and an M.A. in biology from Wesleyan University and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Harvard University. His research focuses on innovative ways to use technology to improve teaching and learning in the science classroom, particularly for non-science majors. Dr. Simon is the lead author of Campbell Essential Biology and Campbell Essential Biology with Physiology .

Great text book Fantastic online resources

It didn't arrive when it said but I still got it before class started. Make sure you allow at least 10 business days for it to arrive. It came undamaged, and exactly what it said it was with access card and all. Great text book. Super easy to follow along and understand the concepts. Online tools and pre tests saved my life. Tutor sessions was good. If your looking to understand the basics of biology and just get through a class great book to help or you can just get the online access card and use the online tools. I would definitely recommend the online help to any person taking a college level biology high school course or course in college for a GE credit.

BEWARE - Inactive Access Code

BEWARE - Access code does not work. Purchased this textbook new specifically to ensure receipt of a new access card. But the code is INACTIVE. Publisher denies responsibility since "item was not purchased directly". Very disappointed in Amazon.
