Take A Quick Bow

I purchased this book for my 9-year-old daughter, who is involved in our local community theatre. The plays in the book are geared toward school-learning activities, covering subject matter such as America's heritage, science, and holiday themes. All plays use twenty-plus cast members. A good idea, and maybe could be utilized by educators. However, whereas my daughter said she wouldn't mind performing in one the plays in the book, I found them somewhat tedious and no fun at all.

Excellent material for schools

As a volunteer at my children's local school, and as an educator, I've had the pleasure of seeing more than one of the plays in this book performed by elementary school kids, and each has been a pleasure to watch, and seemed to be a pleasure for the children to perform. There's good-natured humor and subtle non-didactic substance, but mostly lots of fun and good opportunities for lots of kids to get a chance to do something creative in front of an audience. Highly recommended.
